These shops were being built in 1925.
W.S. Ferguson refers to William "Bill" Stewart Ferguson who in 1939 was killed in a vehicle accident in Maidstone.
For a number of years Edward "Ted" James Whitten, the Footscray & Braybrook football player used one of the shops for his butcher & meat delivery business.
The shops have been demolished and their location is part of a service station,
