Sunshine Post Offices
Braybrook Junction and Sunshine has a number of Post Offices and sites.
In the early days of Braybrook Junction, the post office was located at the Braybrook Junction Railway Station.
In 1892, the post office was moved to Hampshire Rd on South - West corner of Derby Rd. The present Sunshine Primary School is now located on this site. The post office operated in the front room of the residential building.
In 1913 a new post office was opened in Hampshire Rd on the corner of Dickson St opposite the Railway Station. In 1915 the Sunshine Telephone Exchange operated from the post office. As the demand for more postal and telephone services increase the building was expanded and additional building added to the site.
In the 1970's the post office was relocated to a new building in Devonshire Rd on the corner of Bennett Place.
In 1975 the Post Master General (PMG) was renamed to Australia Post.
The current Post Office is located in the Sunshine Market Place Shopping Centre.
