In 1950, C. J. Coles built this store on the former W. & Co McGraths grocer store site.

For many years some outstanding paintings of the early years of Sunshine were displayed on the internal walls of the building. These paintings are now proudly displayed in The Hunt Club, Ballarat Rd, Deer Park.

After Coles moved out from the store it was converted into an arcade. In 2020, the building was demolished and the site being redeveloped into shops with residential unit above.
